have been looking for a Stainless Rossi 454 with 16" barrel and big loop with no success. Anyone have one of these or seen one? How does it shoot with both the 45lc and 454? I think this would be about the ultimate walk around rifle for the lower 48. And don't say get a 45/70, I have 4, and even the 18" barreled ones are still on the heavy side.

I have also been looking for a Rossi .454 18" or 20" Blued or SS for well over a year now. They are simply not to be had!!! You will have to get very lucky to pick one up, even a used one.

They were only made for a period of less than two years and not many were made per year. I am not sure of the date, but when Rossi was either taken over by or partnered up with Braztech the .454 Rifle production was cancelled.

I can't help as far as where to get one but I can tell you my 20" stainless 454 shoots everything from 45 Colt plinkers to 360 and 425gr 454's great.

I think the 16inchers are harder to find. You can add a large loop to one. I did see a medium sized loop once. I should have bought it.

I have a 16". And yes, it is the ultimate walk around gun.
Shoots everything from mild to wild very well. Just watch your OAL.

I've never seen one with the big loop however they can be put on after one gets the gun. To be honest I wanted one with a blued/case hardened finish but they never have made them so I bought the 45 Colt.

There was one on gunbroker a week ago, like a fool I just bid on it instead of doing the buy now for $700. Guess I really didn't know how much they were worth! cause someone did the buy now.

Yeah my 20 SS is a good gun. I didn't get it cheap. Never found a cheap one just bit the bullet and paid what my dealer said was his best price.

A 454 levergun on a 92 action that holds up!

Of course its for sale! $1000. And you pay all shipping costs.

Yeah I know, I don't want to sell it.
