Well I got the sight picture issue fixed with the sight from Track of the Wolf, BUT it was too small for my dovetail. I made an adapter piece that fit the dovetail and the new rear sight held by a pair of machine screws. Of course this raised the rear sight and I had previously cut the front sight down to the correct height so I soldered a 1/8 inch piece of brass rod on top and painted the whole thing black except for a small yellow dot at the end of the rod. The picture below shows 3 shots I used to tweek the front sight and once finished took 3 shots right after another to see how the group was. The target was at 50 yards on cross sticks and I used 70gn of FFG, .490 ball with lubed pillow ticking patch. I am a happy shooter.......
