im needing some 45acp +p loads, around 23,000psi,,,
i am working with a 230gr jhp bullit and have been using unique and red dot.
i have used 7gr of unique and it shoots great , its what i use for regular 200gr lead swc boolits (whitch also does good.
had been using red dot till latley and i tryed unique and it seems to be a little better in my pistol.
this is mostly for a (around the house/garage/ in the mountains)cary round.
what i want to know is how much unique for a 230jhp to get +p pressure and what the estmated velocity is from a 4.5'' barrell.
and the same for red dot. i would really appriciate any data.
my gun is safe to shoot the +p in , i have shot factory hornaday +p with no pressure signs at all. and have shot stout reddot loads by working up but cant rember the load, i think it was a lead rn at 245gr and 7.6(cc) red dot.
