I finally got all my reloading and bullet casting supplies and cast a bunch of bullets and loaded thirty cartridges.

Took the Ol gal 38-40 with the relined barrel out to the range and using a sand bag for a rest fired these groups at 25 yds:

This target is 15 rounds.....iron sights.....no rear rest!

And this target is same distance, 5 rounds, same set up:

I didn't have a drift and a hammer to move the POI over a bit, but the elevation was perfect after adding a taller front sight. I just fished a sight out of my parts drawer and without adjusting the rear site, this is where it landed. I should by a lottery ticket today!

The load is a LEE tumble lubed TL401-175 SWC over 5g of Trail Boss.

Good morning
Fantastic ! The great benefit of the relign is having a tight throat compared to the bore. Now all you need is some groung hogs to chase about.

Something tells me you'll both have a great outing, should be a real crowd-pleaser as well.
