In shooting my mosins, SMLE, K-31, and Swed's, I am getting no leading with the loads I am shooting but get a lot of carbon. I have used Kroil to eliminate carbon for sometime now, followed by Boreteck, and find it works quite well. Would be interested in the opinions of others regarding carbon removal after shooting boolits.

I use PB blaster for carbon and soot in barrels..it cuts it fast and cleans right up .
Mineral spirits also works good too.

I am a dedicated user of Kroil but that said, I also hold other products in high esteme.

For longer term protection and to reduce re-fouling ........... look at CorrosionX!

Kroil to start and CorrosionX to finnish is my regiment.

Kroil, mineral spirits and ATF in equal amounts make a great bore cleaner.

Why can't you use straight ATF ?

Why can't you use straight ATF ?

You probably could. The mineral spirits and Kroil thins it out and assists in creeping under lead and carbon faster.
