The wood is very good, it is just a beautiful gun. The targets are the best I shot at 50yds, you didn't think I was going to show you the worst did you?

...............Yup, nice looking rifles and capable of very fine accuracy. One of the best bangs for the buck around!

The best was with a 405 HB from LEE and 19.5g of SR 4759, the next was a duplex load of .5 CC of pull down Albanian 7.62x54r powder and 47g of WC860 with a LEE 450g GC boolit and the other was with a 292 g Lymon PB boolit with 41g H4831. There was no hint of lead as the 405 and the 300 were not sized the other 450 was sized to get the GC on.

Hey, Frank... now all you need is to install a long-range soule sight from Lee Shaver and you'll be set for the long shots. Good shootin' there. Like I told you, those BC's are pretty neat guns.
Best Regards, Mike

How do I contact him, as after I replinish the money in my gun fund I will be considering a better sight.

Track of the Wolf carries those sights, and I believe that Midway does, too.

I had some possibly scary velocity with reloads for my Buff Classic, that long barrel adds much! Yes those sights leave something to be desired,I tried shooting 300 grainers through it and almost ran out of elevation adj.

Freightman: I haven't seen a BC up close but I was wondering if the trigger guard is machined into the receiver or if it has a slot that the front of it slips into and the back is held on with a screw, of if the front and back have screws in them.

it is a separate piece that fits as you say, it is metal not plastic. This is one of the best rifles out of the box I have shot. The guard is pinned not screwed.

Freightman: What I was thinking was to me it would look nicer with a Highwall type trigger guard on it of some fashion. If it is metal than you could cut and weld a different one on there to look like a highwall for a lot less than a highwall. Just my opinion.

I thought of that myself, but with all the projects I have going my boys will have to do that. Ihave three AK kits and do not know when I am going to finish them, and my taste in guns have changed, cann't get to excited about a AK right now.

Does the firing pin strike the primer off-center on this NEF? How many rounds has it fired?
