I bought some home made checks of an ebay seller last week and they arrived today, they look excellent.I bought a few different calibres and they crimp on perfectly and look the goods at a much lower price than Hornady's checks.I'm hopefully going to shoot them on sunday and see how they go but I can't find a fault with them. Any update on how they shoot? I may be looking for inexpensive ones for a 357 magnum soon.

$5.50 per 100 is $55.00 per 1000, not exactly a great price but comparable to the larger caliber prices online. For someone looking to buy smaller quantities its ok I guess. He doesn't offer plain base checks which I think would be a niche. For someone wanting to try aluminum checks Jim Sage looks like the only game in town. I hope the guy is successful. Frank

I think you'll find that the more you order the cheaper they will be,more like $25 for 1000,still a good price if you don't have the tools to make your own

Yes, the price box expands to a drop down price list when you click on it. $25.99 for a 1000 is an OK price for the 357 caliber ones. Hornady 35 caliber copper check are around $38 per 1000 and Blammer on here only charges $19 per 1000 for copper check. If you don't want to make your own, then Blammer seems to have the best deal going. I have use the ones he sells. They are fine.

I am supplying plain base checks for the 10mm/40 cal crowd on request. The users and interest is picking up and will soon list on Ebay and my web site. Will soon also have .458 PB checks available.

For what ever it is worth, I am finding some of the 22 and 30 cal alum gc's that I bought on line in the berm, and some still on the base of the blt.

All you could ask! Black powder guys use grease cookies, felt wads, milk cartons etc. Will they go hundred yards. The old Ideal and Lyman checks slip on and disappeared on the way to target. We young shooters did not crimp on checks back then. If you had checks you saved them for your high speed hunting rounds.
