I just the mold yesterday and dropped 20 boolits last night. I measured them today and the seem to be right around .479 and.480. My SRH measures .4775. Should I spend the money to get a sizer made from lee, since they don't have one, or lube and load and see what happens? Also I air cooled the boolits, would it be better to water drop them?

make a dummy round and see if it chambers.
if it does then shoot some.
identify any problems, such as flyers or leading.
then work on correcting those.

It's a lee mold.
My experience with Lee was always boolits too small. I sent back several molds and they replaced them. You might consider doing that.

most every lee 475 400 grain mold ive had has been borderline small. Most cast right at 476 or 477. If your shooting them in a ruger you might get away without sizing them but chambers in a linebaugh or FA gun are to tight and 476 is about as large as theyll take and my fa even stuggles with them so i size them to 475. Even if they do chamber keep in mind that after 20 or 30 shots the grime in the cylinder is probably going to keep them from chambering well.
