in the 45 auto. I think that short of a boolit would come with it's own problems when loading.
Ought to be able to get leading velocities out of it though.
The lightest I have is 200 grains.
Of course I will try anything once.

It sure does cut a perfect hole in the target with the wide SWC shoulder.

I found best accuracy in the 900 fps range, and found, in my opinion, that the bullet is very overlubed with its single large lube groove and relatively small amount of lead bearing.

A tumble in LLA actually produced much better accuracy than 50/50.

Feeding is fine in my M1911 and CC but sucks in my P14 and M98. Went back to the 190 - 205 gr SWCs.

Worked ok in My Sig P220, but not so good in my LLama--H&G 68 copies from my MP molds from here on out.

Ive never shot the 160 gr Lee but i do have the Saeco #062 170 gr spl bb its been very accurate and feeds well from many 1911s it has about the same bearing surface as my Saeco 068 but the nose is scalloped out more to reduce weight . when purchasing this 8 cavity mould from GAR the old man told me it was alot more accurate than Saecos #062-b a 160 gr spl and from my rersults i agree its almost as accurate to at least 25 yards as the 068.

I've got the Saeco 062-B and I can't get it to shoot accurately under 900 fps which defeats the purpose I wanted it for(light recoiling target). It is Bullseye 50 yd slowfire accurate from about 950-1100 fps, go figure. Looks like a witches hat to me!
