Someone was cleaning house and asked if I had a use for these. They jumped in my car and came home with me. How do I find out what caliber and weight bullet they make? There's numbers on the sides. They are made by Lee, RCBS, lyman, Schings, Saeco. Some are showing some rust on the outside. Whats the best way to clean and preserve them?

Great Score! With the Lyman molds, the first Three numbers are the size, the next group of numbers is the mold number. Such as 358156, is a 358 size mold. For the rest, I use a Graf catalog, or just research the company product online. Older Lee and Saeco always give me problems. I hope this helps.

Now why couldn't all those jump into my car???

In the STICKY's, there are charts showing reference #'s to some of the older, and current, mould mfg.

As to cleaning, I have taken a brass toothbrush lightly to steel moulds to remove surface rust, then a few drops of Kroil on them for storage.
