I see where Graff & Sons has a Lee die set (LEE90921) for the 7.62 Nagant pistol.

I have the pistol, however, I do have some questions about reloading them. Perhaps I can get some input from the membership. I also don't want to reload them if I can't cast a proper boolit.

What boolit mold would work for it? I believe 98 grain bullet is stock. I perfer Lee molds right now as I have not worked since June of last year. I have not slugged the pistol yet.

How does one go about loading it? The factory bullet is recessed below the bottleneck. Does that mean you have to seat the boolit, then run it through the die again? In other words, how do you get the boolit seated below the bottleneck?

Also, where would I get powder load data for it? The Lyman 49th edition does not have it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search here on the Nagant pistol and you will find the info.

Here is how i do for a Norwegan:
32-20 cases unaltered
Sized in a 30 carbine die
12 grains of Swiss #1
A 313-115gr boolit from ranchdog Sized to 311 and fi with a GC, seat flush with the top.

The Lee die set that I have is for .32-20 cases. I use .313 dia. 115 gr. RNFP crimped in the crimp groove. The .32-20 case is shorter so this fits, no gas seal though.

The GC is good for BP fouling but not nessesary for smokeless shooting.
