Wow--boolit casting is causing me to accumulate some weird things!

Has anyone ever recycled dental aprons? A guy on Craigslist has 4 of them for sale. I just emailed about what the approximate weight of them is, to see if it's worth the money.

Last time I had one one, it felt like it was some kind of fine lead shot or something?

They could also be the type that are just lead powder in a sheet of rubbery binder. Those would be NG for our use.

thanks Bill--I had a root canal a few weeks back, and I was wondering how that thing worked. It weight a ton, but was totally flexible.

I could build a super-hero costume out of it "Boolit Man!"

Of course that would be a little hard to get off the ground with....

Most aprons oare ruberized lead powder. They are realyl stinky mess to smelt. I passed on some my dentist offered. I would rather mine the local berm.

When I went in for an x-ray a couple weeks ago I asked if they had any old ones I could get. She brought me one that was just basicaly lead impregnated rubber.Wouldn't work to melt down.

Nope, I tried a section of it once. Never again. It was in with 140 lbs. of dental x-ray foils though!
