Does any manufacturer of 1862 Colt reproduction revolvers make it available with steel grip frame assembly rather than brass?

If such an 1862 is not available, does anyone make available an after-market steel grip frame assemly? While I think reproduction .31-caliber Colt percussion revolvers grip frames fit 1862 revolvers, I don't know this for sure. I believe some of these may have steel grip frames or may have after-market steel grip frame assemblies made for them.

I just do not care for brass.

Me either. I've been trying to find a trigger guard for my 1860 Pietta SAA that wasn't brass. I've searched the internet to no avail. If you find after-market steel grip frames you'll probably find steel trigger guards too. Keep us posted with what you find. Thanks. BC

napthali, I don't believe I have ever seen an iron or steel grip frame for the Pocket revolvers. I have several and looked for an iron grip or even an iron backstrap for a while with no luck.

Same with the 1860. I do however, have a pair of 1861s that came with iron hardware. But for the other revolvers, strictly brass guards.

Keep in mind the Uberti 1862 Colt Pocket police are 5 shot .36 cal guns.
The Pietta are made on their 1851 frames.

Yes but I believe the Uberti 1862's are built on the 1849 frame & are 5 shot.
While the Pietta 1862 Pocket police is .36 cal 6 shot and it isn't built on the 1849 frame.
