I know, it's (jacketed) a dirty word around here.
I would like to know the lenght of the Speer .451 diameter 260 grain hp bullet.
I called Speer, they couldn't help me. This bullet has been dropped from their line.

I guess I don't pay much mind to the j-words these days. But it seems surprising that Speer would drop that classic bullet from their line.

Time to do a search, methinks.

That bullet is listed in the midWay #35 Master catalog. It sells for $15.99 per 50.

Speer has it on their website as well. At $31.98 per hundred, they can keep them too.

You fellas are correct. I called the "product availability person", and this bullet is still in stock.
Here is the kicker. I talked to another Tech just moments ago. He stated that the "old" bullet, (cup and core) is no longer made.
His bullet drawing has "OBSOLETE" stamped across the bullet drawing.
The "new" bullet is a (bonded core) bullet. The jacket is bonded by electrolysis on the outside of the core. He gave a bullet length of .675, (which was what my original post was about).
So, now we all know what is going on. Good loading to you all.
