Thumbed through a copy of the most recent Shooting Times magazine. If there was an article of any substance in it, I would have bought it, but it was total fluff.
A reader had sent in a inquiry concerning making up some slug loads for the 28 gauge shotgun that he enjoyed using for sporting clays, but wanted to add some versatility to. The response by the "expert" was amazing. He stated that there were no cushion wads available for 28 gauge slugs, and that without the cushion wad the slug loads would be of dangerously high pressure. Guess Brenneke didn't get that info.
The "expert" went on to tell the reader that he should buy a new 12 or 20 gauge shotgun for slugs for which there is accepted load data.
ST sure has taken a downhill plunge since Dean Grinnel is no longer with us.
