12ga ball load

Finally got a decent load with my TC New Englander 12ga.After too tight of wads- too big balls and such a .690 ball with .015 ticking spit lubed with 55g of Goex FF did well.

Shot over a backpack with the bead sight.Not anything like a rifled gun but i am happy.

two consecutive 5 shot groups at 25 yards in picture.I had 4 in one gob on the last target!

Pretty nice groups! I love my .56 smoothie Renegade. They have a 12ga New Englander at my LGS that I've been eyeing. ;-)

my 56 SB shot better than this 12ga.But it had sights!How does yours do? Buy the NE 12ga its a pretty nice piece.

My .56 shoots great. (up to 50 yards) I can't tell on long distances, because my range here at the house is only 50 yards and I haven't taken it to a longer one. I got a .50 barrel for it and that barrel is lots of fun and as precise too. But either it doesn't shoot better, or I can't shoot better. :mrgreen: Not sure.

With 55gr. of powder they're not going very fast but they aren't going to bounce off a bambi either!

When i go to 90g recoil becomes noticeable! if i get the depredation tag again from the orchard behind me this year it will work fine for a fat apple sapling eating doe at 20-30 yards.
