I copied this from the 12ga encore book

12 GAUGE HEAVY HUNTING LOAD

weight of the shot charge (more pellets) improves pattern density--allowing a wide selection
of shot sizes to be used. Most effective when used with #4, #6, #71⁄2, #8 or #9 lead shot.

smoked turkey

I just smoked another nice gobbler at 37 yards with my Knight TK2000. My load was 80 gr Pyrodex RS/.125" over powder wad/0.5" cushion wad/1.5 oz #5 shot/over shot card. I use a modified choke. My Tom weighed 21.5 lbs, had a 9.5" beard, and 7/8" spurs. That is my third bird with this set up. I really enjoy muzzleloader turkey hunting. Great sport. You will like the TC barrel I bet. I have toyed with trying to trade for one but haven't done it yet.
