I have the 5 1/2" Bisley and I have really been suprised with this gun. I was on the fence about selling it if it didn't shoot better after it came home from Ruger for a repair. It is VERY accurate now with a Keith boolit I cast for it.
I'm not one that will talk you out of buying it, sorry.

Your in the wrong place, perhaps if you tell us the asking price we will talk you in or out based on if it is a good deal or not.

Don't buy it. You don't NEED it. Tell us where it is and someone will remove the temptation for you.

Sorry, can't help ya there. It is my go to six banger when a 38 special just is quite enough.

I just bought the same model about a month ago from Bob's Gun Shop. Excellent shooter with BP and boolits. Sorry I can't talk you out of it.

Well, you guys are a fat lot of help!!!! (KIDDING!!!!)

The gent selling it wants $495 Canadian shipped to my door. 500 rounds of tame handloads plus 2 rounds of factory Winchester Silvertip have been put through it. He's tossing in some brass plus the remaining box of Silvertips.

Up here, brand new Blackhawks run around $600 before tax and shipping (if I can't find it local), so $495 all in isn't bad.

Really having a hard time saying "NO" to this.....

I'll hold onto to it for 7-8 years until you get your wife used to the idea if that would help.

Yeah, the wife was just leaving Toronto to fly home when I sent her a text about it. The response was "Boys will be boys.".

I guess that means "Yes"....doesn't it??

Sounds like a fair price that will leave both sides happy.

I have this disease,,, it's called "Rugeritis." I will NOT talk you out of buying it. In my case, I'll whip the first person who offers me a cure for my disease. And BTW, I have TWO of those guns.

"Boys will be boys"? That's almost a dare. Come on, if you don't buy it you'll be letting us down. You don't want to be a disappointment to us do you?

I love mine. I can't tell you not to buy it, especially at that price.

I'll tell you my thoughts.. Just succumb to the temptation. It is far easier to swallow than the future regret of not having bought it, or having to pay more for the same thing later.

With cool guns that are in high demand, you can't just sit back and wait. You have to jump on them when the opportunity presents itself because there is not a zillion of them made.

It took me 15 seconds to decide I wanted a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. It took me about 15 seconds to decide I wanted a Ruger BH Bisley in .44 Special too.

Then you go out and find the best deal you can. ASAP. I paid $475 for my BH BISLEY. They are more now, I paid $750 for my Scout, they are much more now.

The longer you wait the more you'll pay. $495 is a good deal , just get it!

Sometimes you just need to stop thinking and dive in the water.

Don't buy it. Use that money and apply it toward a new Colt New Frontier .44 Special. Tell your wife you will "feel better" if you buy it.

I have a 5 1/2" and a .50 can of .44 Spl brass. You won't find any help here in getting talked out of buying one.

problem with Rugers is that they don't make enough varieties to suit me./beagle
