Came back from the reloading store this morning with a new (barely used) mold. It says NEI 318-175 GC. I'm assuming it'a a 175 grain, .318 diameter 4-cavity mold.

Anyone have experience with this? The search function has coniption fits anytime you leave a space or a "-" in the search box.

The mold looks promising. It'a flat-nosed design and looks very much like a .30-30 design. I'm thinking these would be great to try in my Mosin M44 that doesn't seem to shoot anything well out the muzzle besides an awesome flame. I've tried the Lyman 319247, also a .318 I sized down to .315, but it's not a gas-check design. It shot well in my Arisaka, but not in the Mosin.

I'm hoping this boolit, with a gas check, might do better? Anyone have experience with this particular mold?

nope but if it's an older walt mold you have a good one.
youll know the first time you use it if he made it or not.
get it hot reall hot to start then just cruise along with it.

i wonder if it takes 30 cal or 32 cal gas checks.
i'd bet it's pretty good in an argie.

I was told 32 cal gc's so I bought a box. I have several thousand .30's at home. I need handles for this thing now, as it's a 4-gang mold and I only have two-cavity handles for my Lymans.
