I have come into posession of some molds. There are .22, .284, .30, .35 and .44. There are 15 total. I have identified some on here, the internet and my Lyman book. There are a few I can't identify. I know I can cast some bullets and find size and weight. I may use some of them but do not know at this time.

Ideal 225462 .223 what is its weight?
Lee 429208wc

What do the letters stand for behind the mold numbers?
I know a couple of these may be sought after. They are not mine to sell just to use. Please don't ask.

225462 was listed as 57grs.
311413 was listed as 169grs. and should be the same as the Ideal mold.

The lee 208 gr is a wc that does OK out of a 44 special. It is no longer cataloged and a 6 cavity should go fast if you don't want it.

I use it in the .44 magnum at 1,000 FPS..very accurate and a good choice for plinking

Thanks guys. I got the molds out yesterday and looked at them again. I had misread one of the numbers on one of them as indicated in the original post. The one I misread 311334bm may make a good boolit for my sons H&R 30-30. The Cramer No37 with a cursory measurement and by looks appears to be a similar boolit to it. The 225462 may work in my 223 contender and the 429244 should work in my contender and RSBH. I have the nose punches and sizer dies and gas checks for thes boolits. I will have to give them a whirl.

Well I cleaned up the 429244 and the 225462. I made a few hundred 429244 boolits. They measured and weighed out fine. I am really pleased with this mold. I saved just a little lead for the 225462. I only had 11 keepers. I think it may be a good mold for my contender. They also weighed and measured out great.
