I am having surgery on my left arm at the end of this month, and its going to be a good long time after the rehab if I am lucky, but the doc says I have the worst case of epicondylitis that he has seen in a very long time, so I am preparing for the worst. This is my answer. I have used shooting sticks before but they didn't seem to be good for one handed shooting, so I made up another set from some wooden dowels, which was hard enough as it was one handed, thank goodness for my little vise. Well, I used the drill to screw in a couple of bolts and this is what I came up with. Now the darn things stick in the ground quite well. This is just average topsoil that its resting in. It stood straight up for more than five minutes without any effort. Now I just need to give them a coat of my favorite color (camo) and when hunting season rolls around whether a handgun or not, I will be ready to go.
