I finally got it all together and made some .243 bullets. I got the press and then the dies and tried to make my on wire like some fellows made on the forum with a Harbor Freight press. After I tore up 2 presses I gave up and ordered a core mold from RCI and I am very happy with it. I made some 95 and 98 grain 6mm bullets with the same core weight. I did not think about the difference of weight in the different brands. I will segregate the brass from now on.
I shot two groups with some of the first bullets I made, even though I am not happy with the cosmetic appearance of the bullets they seem to perform fairly well. I hope to get better results with a little more attention to how I am making the bullets.http://castboolits.gunloads.com/imagehosting/thum_104384f8716bc7f816.jpg (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=4796)

I used 22 magnum brass but I did not use all the same brand. Next time I plan on sorting brass according to brand.

What diameter are the jackets when they come out of the derimming die?
