No not what I weigh but what should my bullets weigh. New to shooting cast I wonder what weight is best for shooting from a single shot Contender 23 inch barrel. I was given some 150 grain gas checked bullets and am about to load them up. My brass is all accurized and ready to go. I measured the chamber length but just wonder if 150 is a good weight as some others have told me that 170 is better. Your opinions are wanted.

Sounds like you are talking 30-30 or a variation of same as you did not say what ctg. If it is a 30-30, either will do fine, and if I had a preferance it would be for the 150.

weight is not important.
the nose and body diameter are.

Depends on what you are shooting... cartridge, target, varmint, small, medium, large game, velocity, twist rate... We need a LOT more information to give an informed answer.
LOTS of great guys here with a wealth of information.
