A friend of mine has an old Ithaca 410 pump shotgun.

It looks all original, but it is in bad shape and needs an overhaul.

It states on the barrel that it is a 3" .410 the barrel appears to be 25"-26" long

on the receiver it says that it is a model 267 from "coast to coast stores"

on the left side of the barrel is has a mark that states "22T"

on the top of the barrel it states "28T"

I do not see any serial number on the shotgun anywhere...

I'm looking for some idea as to it's age and some pointers as to how to refurbish this soon to be beautiful weapon

Wow, a 410 Ithaca pump? Is it built like the M37? I never heard of a 410 M37 style, but you never know. For a while in the 70's (IIRC) Ithaca was marketing some odd ducks. Sorry I can't help.

Numrich, Gun Parts Catalog #28. Under the heading "Store Brand" to manufacturer cross reference. A Coast to Coast model 267 is a Savage model 77. Not an Ithaca. Also check out a Stevens model 77.

Thanks...
That gives me a better place to start my research

No serial number points to being made before 1968.

Some of the house brand guns were just as good as the name brand ones, some weren't.

I highly recommend making a few dummies up, if you are plannign to see how the action works. Unintended loud noises are not fun.

Numrich has a web site also. Don't know if it will help or not.
