I've long lost the PMs and names of the guys who so generously sent me cast bullets to use in a research project. But once again, thanks a million.
The resulting article has just come out. It's in the Spring issue of The Varmint Hunter Magazine. That's a members' publication, unfortunately, so the curious among you won't find it on the newsstand. The article is titled "223 Remington: World's Most Versatile Cartridge?" and is on page 104.
As a summary, I load the .223 to duplicate cartridge velocities from the .22 CB cap to the .22-250, spanning 3000 fps. Loads mimicking the CB, Short, LR, WRF and WMR used the cast bullets supplied by casters from this board. The article would not have been possible without their help.
