I have a 4 hole NEI mold for 45-230-RN-BB. One cavity has chips missing from the tapered edge that makes the bevel base. That leaves two little burrs sticking out of the bevel. They don't go all the way to where the bevel turns into the rear band, so I'm not sure they affect accuracy all that much but it's just not "right".

At some point I may consider getting rid of the bevel base completely. I know there are some of the folks here but I can't find any reference to any of them with a casual search.

If you are one of our talented members who does such things, please ring in here or by PM. If you have had mold mods done and can recommend someone I'd like to hear from you as well.

I think Buckshot's lathe is down for repairs at the moment, but he should have it going in a day or two and everything I've seen him do is a work of art. Erik Ohlen at Hollowpointmold dot com is also a good choice for such modifications.
