This was my neighbor, up the road about a mile. All of the surrounding area had been pitching in to build him and his wife a house. Kevin was 100% disability. Prayers for his wife and baby.

Lakeside, Mont. -- A Montana veteran injured in Iraq passed away in his sleep Sunday.
Sgt. Kevin White did two tours in Iraq, where he was hit by a rocket propelled grenade. The injury left him with nerve, vision and hearing damage.
NBC Montana told you in 2010 how White's mother-in-law and father-in-law were launching a drive to help build Kevin, his wife and their baby their own home. The house was reportedly just two weeks from being finished when White passed away.
Donations to support White's widow and child can be sent to: Kevin Housing Fund, c/o Flathead Bank of Lakeside, P.O. Box 769, Lakeside, MT 59922.

Good morning
May God give that family peace and fill that empty spot as only He can.

That is sad news. I am glad that this country still has men and women willing to put their lives on the line for our freedom. May God bless and protect his family.

That is very sad. Another family broken by the war.

I will pray for them.

Do I just send a personal check to the address?

Gov't should of built that house. You get injured in the line of serving your country, and an injury that leaves you disabled, then its the gov'ts responsibility to furnish them a home, and pay them a middle class income for the rest of their lives.
My tax money is paying these heroes, and I think we can/ and should do no less.

Sad to hear, and sounds like you live in an area with good folks.
It has always been my understanding that we the people are the govt, sound like givt is working in your neck of the woods, some what like it is suppose too.
Last week I read of a town in NJ building a soldier a house and not too long ago lubbock TX dooing the same.

Donation mailed out today.

What really peeves me off is some serve their country, get injured, and cannot get any type of help. But your butt hurts if you think we dont give BILLIONS to illegal immigrants. I know several people in this situation.

Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Amen! Free medical care, free college tuition, and a Democratic party voters registration. Soldiers like SGT. White just get shat on!
