hi there,
i am up for a .366 mold in the small group buy 9,3mm and i wonder where/how other size and lube their .366 projectiles? Lee doesnt have it, couldnt see a die that fits my RCBS lube/sizer press.
so, how do you do it?

I honed a Lee 0.358" die to 0.368" for my 9.3x74R. The honing was done with a 5/16" steel rod with one end split with a hacksaw powered by a hand drill and strips of 400 and 600 grit sand paper. It did not take very long. Size some bullets as you go along so as to not hone your die oversize.

I have not been satisfied with the push through sizers for seating gaschecks; they are not fully flush with the base and often crooked. I use a Lyman 55 to seat the check, pan lube and shoot as cast diameter. One of the vendors here makes a gash check seating tool that looks like it would do what I am doing with the Lyman but costs much less.

Hmm,
Forgive me for asking, but what is a lyman 55?

Griffin, a Lyman 55 is a powder measure. I think Dan meant a Lyman 450 or 4500 lubrisizer. I think Lyman makes a gas check seater only option for those lubrisizers.

I would slug my barrel first so I know what size the die needs to be. If the barrel is .365 and the boolits are .366 that is about perfect. I would just hand lube and hand seat the gas checks and load them in the cartridges. There are supposed to be hand seated and crimp on gas checks but I have never noticed much difference. Maybe others experience varies?
