Hi,

I shoot the RCBS 165gr boolit in BB standing in IHMSA. This boolit is great for this.
I am also currently using this same load for Field Pistol. I am now looking for a lighter boolit for F.P, preferably non gas-checked. Not for reduced recoil cause there aint much but I am sure I can save some lead and gas-checks by moving to a lighter non-gas-checked boolit.

The only boolit I have in this caliber apart from the RCBS 165 is the Lee 311-100-2R, any good?? Peter.

I don't know how it will do in a TC, but I have been shooting a 120 grain copy of the Lyman 3118 in my Ruger SSM over a rather large amount of Lilgun.

If that doesn't work for you, the 311316 or Lee Soupcan are similar boolits; although they are both gascheck designs.

I just got a 311008 for my birds head Ruger. I haven't played with it extensively yet but 3.5 grs of unique got me 750 fps and great accuracy. This is my best load so far but I'm sure this boolit can be pushed faster with good accuracy.

I am shooting #3118 over 5.5gr. AA#5 in my TC for field pistol. That is a bit over SAAMI max pressure but it is super accurate and flat shooting enough I don't have to make sight changes. Your Lee boolit should behave similarly.

Try NOE 311008 115Gr. FN and 3.5 grains of Red Dot.

NOE might also have a plain base version of the 3118 left. That might be just the ticket for you

The Lee 311-100-2R should do just fine. I use several 90 - 118 gr cast in my TC Contender .32 H&R. My Lyman 311227 is very close to the Lee and it shoots very well over 3.2 gr of Bullseye right at 1050 fps. I size at .312 (as cast for my 311227) so it can be used in the Ruger Single Six also. It sizes down with no problems and excellent accuracy in the tapered throat to the .3085 groove diameter of my Contender barrel. The lee should shoot very well in yours.
