This is hardly a fair sample, but I loaded 5 rounds of each charge (16,18,20,&22) grains and set up a 50 yard target. The 16 and 18 grain charges comingled as I didn't change the sight setting. The 20 grain charge may hold some promise - group measured .704" which is about all these 58 year old eyeballs are good for with iron sights. I'll load some up for further testing tomorrow. (It's an early 03A3 with a 4 groove barrel)

I had a very limited window of opportunity to try the load at 100 yards this evening before nightfall. I just had enough time to fire 5 rounds - first round went high and opened the group to 2.750", the remaining 4 shots went into 1.225". I believe that 20 grains is going to shoot just fine.

My old 2 land springfield shoots well with just about any 150 to 210 gr cast GC with between 20 and 22 gr. of 2400. Probably most accurate with 311291 sized 311 and lubed with Lymn Orange. The 150 lee is a close second with accuracy. No fillers.
