Help an old guy out with some data please!
I see 6.5x55 dies listed ever so often.
I have recently purchased a 6.4x55 Carcano.
Will the ones listed as 6.5X55 swede work?
would save me some money if they do!

The 6.5 Carcano cartridge is smaller in diameter at the base and shorter than the 6.5 Swede, about all the Swede dies would do is a partial neck size of the Carcano case.

Check your PM's.

The Carcano round is 6.5x52. A set of 6.5x54MS dies would be better than the 6.5x55 Swede dies.

Lee sells the correct dies. Don't bother with the wrong ones.

Note that 6.5 bullets that are .264 diam will shoot very inaccurately in most or all
Carcanos due to .268 typical groove diam.

For boolits, you will need (probalby) about .271 or so boolit diameter to get good
results. Not easy to find this size mold. Carcano should be called a 6.6x52, IMO.
