I own two Saeco lubrisizers. Generally I am happy with them. My problem is: I want to size boolits for my 1885 Winchester Hiwall 38-55, (Miroku) to .380. The largest sizing die Saeco makes is .378. Lyman dies only run to a max of .379. What to do? Does anyone make a sizing die for the Saeco lubrisizer in .380? If so who? My rifle does not shoot a .378 boolit very well. Again, What to do.

Contact either of these members. Lathesmith or Buckshot.

I don't know how hard Saeco dies are, but it might be possible to hone one out .002" by using a 5/16" dowel rod, a power hand drill, and several grades of emery paper. Just put a slot at one end of dowel and put strip of abrasive paper in it. A little cutting oil and work it in and out with the drill running. Measure often.

If you're not into that sort of thing then try Buckshot, I think he makes custom dies. Or check the vendor sponsor section. There are a number of talented folks here that could do that. (not me, I don't make dies)

I honed my SAECO .431 to .433. I used a pin gauge as a mandrel, so it wouldn't flex so much. I used emery cloth (don't remember grit, but coarser than 220), moving to 220 and 400 silicon carbide wet/dry sandpaper. I finished by lapping using soft lead boolits and 600 lapping compound and then some Flitz. The die is hard. I went slow and took my time with it. I used no power tools.
