Folks,:violin:
I need some help for 2 different projects.:killingpc My wife just got her 38-55 H&R Buff Target and we shot it with some 240 gr boolits Saturday. With BP= loads it's like shooting a 223 ! (Yes women do shoot and she is a shooter and hunter.)
I would like to try some of the Lyman 330 gr bullets before I sink money into a mold. Some have said that the 18 twist will not stablize them, and I'd like to have a few to try.:veryconfu
I'll swap any of the boolits I cast for some of these (44 keith, 38/357 gc and plain, 30 cal (all GC)115's and 160's,45-70 1-20 tin lead at 450 gr ( Lee 500 gr mold, these shoot well to 1000 meters)44 and 357 hollow base( I don't cast many of these, but will for a swap.
The other project needs about 10-12 50 cal gas checks. We ( Ga Tech, don't hold that aginst me) needs to try them as high temp seals in an experiment. We are trying to make better / lighter power transmission cables that will be a composite of Aluminum and carbon fiber. The mold we are working with is .505 dia so 50 cal would be perfect. A student is working on this with South Wire and would like to graduate.[smilie=b:
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
