Nice find...I paid about $5 a pound from the only shop around here for and he only had about 8 pounds. My was only 40% tin, checked the boxes of his rolls of solder. Probably too much per pound but it was here and no shipping. Used a small 1/2 oz. (dry measurement) ladle to make small ingots, easy to cut down to add little amounts to my ww alloys.

That is a pretty classy work area. Lots of casting ahead with all that solder. Nice score.

Yeah, I have a bunch of free granite setting around. Im going to use to make a flagstone path and fire pit area this summer. Bought a new house last year and have a lot of projects in the pipe. Anyone have experience cutting granite countertop stone?

Angle grinder and a diamond blade. Good cartridge filter mask, full face shield, sturdy, supple leather gloves, lots of patience. A lot like smelting. :)

Add ear plugs to that. The cutting, not the smelting:roll:

About $1.30 per pound for just the tin is a VERY good return indeed and the extra lead is free! Congratulations ! :) :)

My radiator shop has closed down but I was getting about 25 pounds of very nice 60/40 ingots every three months. Luckily the drippings were very clean !

A friend gave me a 5 gal bucket of very dirty drippings.
I recovered 35 # of solder.
Needless to say I was happy with it.
What kind of recovery did you get with your drippings?....dale
