My latest Trade deal netted me the following Front stuffers...

So I have a Robbins and Lawrence 1841 Mississippi rifle dated 1851 in .58.
An 1846 Harpers Ferry .69 smoothebore Musket.
and An 1863 Parker'Snow rebarreled with a Wm. Large Barrel .54 and I have the original barrel as well that had been relined many years ago.

good looking stuff. I used to live in Meriden Conn back in the 60's into the 80's and there was a lot of that stuff around there back then. The old Parker shotgun factory is all condos today. GD

Bill Large was a premier barrel maker in his day. I have a stump gun, flinter, with one of his barrels. The maker is unknown to me but it is quality as befits the barrel. .54 cal and unfired by me as of this date but I intend to correct that personal failure as soon as the weather allows. Nice guns, Rich!!

Dang I like those Mississippis! but they are so hard to find in top condition especially the pre-48 dates. Guess many were really beat up or destroyed during the Mexican War.
