Was shooting the old 336a marlin 1949 vintage.
Been shooting the NOE 165 boolit lately with felix lube.

Worked 846 surplus powder up to almost 2300 f.p.s.,,shot a .350 inch group at that speed!!

Bore shines like a new penny, load is shooting very clean at this speed...

I love this boolit!!!!

BTW, boolits are 18bn,,,

think the ol girl will shoot 2400 f.p.s pretty easily,,thats for next weekend.

Do you take a trophy oak to a taxidermist or a sawmill? All kidding aside I never met a 30-30 I didn't like, yours sounds like a keeper!

The 30-30 is a cast boolit sleeper and is my favorite for cast. With the Wiliams FP 340 aperture sight on my Stevens bolt action and most cast boolits, it is scary accurate. To do the cartidge real justice, just wish I was the shooter once thought I was.

The 30-30 is a great cast bullet round, but just wait and try a 32 WS to find levergun cast bullet heaven.

I have a 1952 marlin rc,that is a .32 special.
That gun is scary accurate. It has shot little tiny groups since i first bought it,and aint a bit fussy.

This 30-30 has been a real challenge, but im finnally figuring out how to make her happy.

Where did you order/find the Williams FP 340? I want to have one put on my 325.
