Harvey Donaldson 250 Ace

OK lets see what we have here on this 250 Donaldson ace. A 1903 Remington receiver 30" Douglas Barrel with a Mashburn trigger and a Lyman 15 power super spot tube scope with an O A made for Bench rest shooting. Is it one made by Harvey Donaldson??????? check photo's.

Have not found out what the twist is as of yet. GD

I can see now why you would want to re-stock it. Harvey was first and foremost a metal working man. I have seen rifles attributed to him (in print and in person) and they run the gamut of quality, although his barrel work was second to none. This one looks like something he would have knocked together as a prototype to see if his idea worked, before building any 'nice' rifles in the caliber. No other identifying marks, eh?

Still, that is one that would draw me in like a magnet if I saw it at a gun show.
