Offered as much lino today that I want to buy for 2.50 /pound.
Good deal or not?

Last time I bought Linotype I paid $1.33 per pound, shipped!

Sounds High to me!

IMO $1.00 to $1.50 would be more in line per pound with what i would pay for so called scrap linotype . rotometals price for REFINED linotype is $2.99 lb shipping included ,
But i have about 200+ lbs stockpiled at the moment.

I'm with Bob--the certified assay given by Rotometals is worth a price bump upward.

Lino doesn't grow on trees, though. If the seller gave a decent quantity discount, I might grab some of that if I was in your place.

I should have looked at Rotometals before posting, my bad!
yeah for 50cents /pound difference I'd get trusted known alloy

Yea, I'm a thinkin that $1.50 might be a good deal, but then again - if your'e out in the desert and thirsty how much would you pay for water? Look in our own "Swapping and Selling" section before makin a decision.
