So I'm trying to post photos of the Ideal bullet sizer and I need to resize them. They are too big. Any suggestions on how to go about this, or a good, (free:-D) program to do it?

Thanks,

Ron

Go to Windows Downloads, there are a couple of free choices:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Download one (or both), install them, learn to use them.

If you use Photobucket as a photohost you won't need to resize your photos,

Here's a link to a free and simple one that I've used for a couple of years in doing photos for websites.

Well, shoot. I uploaded the photos to Photobucket and resized them, but when I uploaded the resized ones to this site, they are still too big for proper viewing, you have to scroll.

Any ideas

Thanks again,

Ron

Download picasa and save the files to the 320 size - they fit perfect and its pretty easy.

Picasa is free from google.

Ron the afore mentioned link to " http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx "
is the easiest to use if you're running XP home. Halfway down on the right in the link to load the program. The small size is perfect for here and there is a custom sizing option there too.

One I used to use on Windows was irfanview at http://www.irfanview.com/. Another one that I mostly use and is available for multiple platforms but is a command line program is imagemagick http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php. Both available for the price of downloading.

If they are jpg files just use paint to resize them :)

"Well, shoot. I uploaded the photos to Photobucket and resized them"
I truly don't know anything about resizing photos that is why I use photobucket and I have never had to resize anything. The process is like this, from camera to My Pictures, from there to photobucket, from photobucket to post, simple and quick. Here's one I took recently
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/PaulGauthier/1911s010.jpg
100053 bytes, 640 x 480 pixels whatever that means.
I wish I could have helped more.
