How do you keep angle iron ingot molds, melting pots and various other tools from rusting when not in use.

I have a cast iron smelting pot that gets rusty from sitting, just take a wire brush to it every once in a while. I wouldn't worry much about rusty ingot molds, it'll help release the ingots. Rust is your friend when it come to ingot molds.

I spray my ingot molds with graphite from the parts store. A good coat keeps most of the rust away. I store my cast iron pot for smelting in a plastic five gallon bucket with a lid on it. Bill

while still hot I drop a little fluxing wax on em. Seals things nicely.

While still hot, I coat with paraffin wax.
It melts off when preheating for the next use.
No rust here.

Originally I hit 'em with some Frankford Arsenal Drop-Out, but I haven't bothered since then. Just keep 'em dry, and they should be fine.

If anything rusts then you are not using them enough.[smilie=l:

Here in deep south Texas the high humidity can cause rusting overnight. I have a number of 50cal ammo cans in which I store my molds in. In the cans I have a few pounds of desiccant gel pouches. These keep the molds rust free.

Other items such as ingot molds are sprayed with WD-40.

Use a SS pressure cooker for a smelting pot, no rust, Lyman and Saeco ingot molds are rusty,
doesn't hurt a thing.

I too use the mold drop out spray on my ingot molds. They only need to be sprayed a couple times a year (depending on how much moisture they are exposed to, and how often you use them). -- I'm sure that a little rust won't hurt, but it just drives me crazy to see rust on anything...except bluing on a nice gun, of course!
