Some of you may have seen my post or even donated unsafe non-useable brass in this forum castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=146291

As said in that post I plan on making a table in this thread im going to update and track my progress.

So far many people are donating brass, so waiting on arrival of that, i have a 30" in diameter 1/4" thick piece of glass.

I have been testing adhesives on test glass with brass, nickel, steel, and aluminum.

So far standard superglue works holds very tight but any glue that touches air turns white.

Ill post a pic later today of the test with 2-.357 sigs and a 20 ga w/o primer.

Use the two part clear epoxy made for embedding pictures, and stamps onto a table. Clear, but might turn a little yellow with exposure to UV.

Look up " tabletop epoxy " this is what is used to make tables with stuff in the table. "USComposites" will be your cheapest place to order from.

if you are going to glue the case heads to the underside of the glass and have a backer so they stay put, you can glue to the backer and cut all to same length. Or you can use clear silicon to stick the case head to the underside of glass. Many years ago I worked in a glass shop and we helped make stuff like this, we used clear silicon in moderation for many things.

Yup on the clear silicone.
They make some that is an adhesive that really sticks.
Don't let air get between the heads and glass or it will show up later as bubbles
I would fill it in with the resin.

i have a company (Epoxies Ect.) sending me samples. as for the the air bubbles if i dip the heads in the set on the glass and spin case while seating the head it should eliminate the air bubbles. as for the silicone im looking for something that will hold extreamly strong and rigid like the super glue did.

Look at glass aquariums, they make them with the type of silicone I mentioned,
Home Depot does not have it,

Longwood,

Thanks for your comments. That is exactly what we used. We made lots of odd shaped aquariums also. the larger ones we made support frames, but all were stuck together with the silicon.

tjeffords: Silicone is the right material. You want the flexibility of that material.

It's what they use on aquariums. Oh,,,, somebody already said that.
