I hear a lot of talk on here about Weidner's. They do have really good prices.

Their web site explains that they are slow to fulfill. It says something about 8 to 10 days.

I ordered some dies, a press, some powder etc from them two weeks ago today.

They send me an order verification two weeks ago today.

They charged my credit card 12 days ago today.

I emailed them four days ago. No reply yet.

Their site says my order is "received".

Is this place legit? or do I need to try to cancel my credit card charge?

They are most certainly legit! I don't know why they are so slow lately, hasn't always been so. They are a very reputable & honest company though.

I will just wait.

Another week will not hurt me.

More than likely due to a huge increase in sales which is effecting most every mail order house dealing in reloading and firearms related merchandise.

I tried using them a few times, but they were always out of stock on several items.

Yep, I've spent a bunch of bucks with them. They have not been that slow... Have no idea what is going on, but they are good folks.

I think that we are on the front end of panic buying. It appears Obummer is going to be reelected. Some of the rep that I have talked to stated they cannot keep ammo in stock. They get a quarter to half million rounds in and its gone in two days. One stated that they sold 46,000 boxes of PMC ammo in one day.

Yep, notice how everyone is starting to sell out of cheap primers, and CCI 300? Just this week?

Obummer's selling guns, ammo, and components again!!

Does anyone think he realizes that he's likely caused more guns to be sold than any other president?

I agree, all firearm related sales are the number one sellers in the past 6 months or so.
Gear- obummer knows exactly what he is doing.........

I have been buying from Weidners off and on for the past 24 years. Never had a problem with them.

they are legit at least the ones in Johnson City TN, they may be a bit slower because their powder magazing blew up a year or so ago. :)

Well,

It came today.

Long time wait but I guess it was worth it for those prices.

I've ordered from Wideners a couple of times when they had something not available elsewhere. Since I am a resident of Tennessee they have to charge me sales tax. In Tn that can be as much as 9.75%, depending on the local option.

I just noticed in their weekend email that they have Varget for $139 per 8lbs. That is about $4 cheaper than the jug I just ordered from Grafs using my C&R. As you can see the tax knocks them out of the running. If I lived 400 miles East, I could pick it up but that is out of the question. If I wanted to drive 400 miles, I could drive to Grafs.

Obummer's selling guns, ammo, and components again!!

Hmm, yeah I've heard this, but I think there is something else besides partisan politics that's driving gun and ammo sales this time. Personally, I think there is a 2012 "end of the world" syndrome out there, lots of doomsayers claiming this is the Big One, with the end of the Mayan calander, Nostrodamus, etc etc [add what you like here].

Either way, a word to the wise--I think M-Tecs is right on, make sure you have a good stash of primers, powder, and lead, because I think it's gonna be another tight year for this stuff(a lot like 2008-2009). Much like 2008 and Y2K, it will fizzle out and blow over, but it will take some time.

I plead guilty to trying to get in on the front end of the panic buying. I needed a couple of items but decided to get extra of some things because they might not be available later. I believe that the buying will start in earnest by mid-summer.

On a slightly different note, I was looking through some old receipts that I keep on my gun/gun related purchases and found a receipt for a couple of 8 lb jugs of WC820 I bought in 2005. They cost $64 each. Too bad the "Golden Age" of surplus powders is apparently over. I've seen others post that they got surplus for even less.
