Mold guide for Lyman 61 pot...

I picked up an old Lyman 61..... works great, but it's missing the mold guide. Any suggestions as to the best way to fab up a replacement? Mold gets heavy in a hurry freehanding it under the pour spout.

Set a brick under it.....

A brick will work and so will a build up with a couple of pieces of 2x4 glued together, but be sure to wrap either in two or three turns of aluminum foil to prevent any spilled lead from sticking to what you made. Actually a piece of sheet aluminum with the sides hammered down to fit the sides would be better as it would not tear if/when the mold scraped across it. LLS
