For trap type loads you'd want something faster than Unique, maybe some of the AA#2 type surplus, anything like Red Dot, Green Dot, or Clays. For hunting type loads, a surplus equivalent that falls between Unique and Blue Dot in burning apeed.

MarkK, it's not surplus but Alliant's "Promo" is certainly priced right.

I did a search at the usual reloading supply places and found the following prices. T&T Reloading 76.95, Natchez 79.99 and Wideners 79.00. That's for an 8# jug. If your local shop has it or will get it for you, you save the shipping and hazmat...Ray
