I have a box of Hunters Supply Cast 165 Grain FP .311 boolits for my Marlin 336. Started to get the brass ready and trimmed and finally load up a few.

1. Anybody ever load these up before and have any useful data or info on them? I have 335 powder somewhere around here.

2. What kind of lube is popular for the steel rifle dies... not the cases but the dies themselves when preparing them for storage?

Cheers....:drinks:

i use a hygroscopic lanolin based case lube die.

i just don't clean them out.
unless you live right on the shore, i doubt you'll have any issues with a die set rusting.
if it's a concern then a spray should cover them well enough.
i use birchwood casey's sheath on my guns if going out in the snow.
so i'd use it on my dies too.
for my molds i am gonna store for a long time, i use a penetrating oil.
