Anyone out there have results to report for conicals in the light weight little .50 cal Traditions flintlock carbines? Being 7/8" barrels and only 24" long I generally have to stay with lighter weight slugs and that means jacking up the initial pressure to get it to expand to the bore. But, you don't want to run your pressure up too much because it is a 7/8" barrel. Haven't tried out a minie yet.

I'm going to try this one paper patched but don't know if I can hit it from behind hard enough. It usually takes a heavy charge in GM LRH barrels to get it to settle down.

250-320gr REAL bullet with 70-90gr Goex 2f or 3f and a lubed wad should get you going.
