Load thread for Miha's .32 ACP mould. Nothing to see here at the moment, but hopefully some nice loads will show up here over time.

Lookin forward to getting my mold, but probably will not get around to using it until several other projects are completed (11X59 gras carbine and new 45-75 lever action). Hoping to use the new mold for .32 acp as well as 32 H&R mag. small game loads.

About 2.3 gr. of Bullseye will get you there. Dramatic expansion with penetration in moist soil of about 5".

I have to admit I've been lazy lately. I did cast a very few with this mould, but haven't even gotten around to loading them. In addition to the 32 ACP it's designed for I intend to try these in an old top break 32 S&W Owl Head and an H&R 632 that even 85gr XTP's hit way high in. My mould and the soft range scrap I cast them out of threw 71gr HPs and 74gr FNs. I might even load a few in 32 H&R mad or 32-20 just to see what kind of velocity I can get if I get really bored.

Speaking of the "bigger" 32's, 45 2.1, do you have any designs of around 100 grains? I figure 32 Mag weights typically run 85 to 100gr and 32-20 runs 100 to 115, so 100gr should be a good weight useable in both.

Well, I didn't get in on this buy. BUT, it sounds pretty darn close to what my .32ACP runs as a HP---71gr. So I can share what I use for mine and it might be a good jump-off point to get this moving.

1.6gr Red Dot
1.8 to 2.0gr Long Shot

There are a mess of powders between that would be great, and all about the same charge--I just haven't been playing with this cartridge as much lately.

Couldn't tell you where velocities run off the top of my head, but this is what it does in water jugs over the red dot.

The specs for the bullet are on the original post for the group buy:

I'm going to be trying it in .32 S&W and 7.62x25.

I'll be breaking in my mold for an old .32 S&W and a Colt .32ACP. Should be loads of fun. enjoy Mike

As I mentioned, I didn't get in on the group buy for the mold regarding the OP. MINE is a lee 93gr .311 that I milled down to drop 80gr RN in one cavity and HP'd the other cavity for the boolit shown in my photo.

The original is on the left, and the right is after milling down to the first lube-groove and then recutting it to a plain-base single-groove.
