My sweetened ww ( 1 lb lino to 9 lbs ww) test a 22 Bhn after 2 weeks.

Hope this helps...

I believe that it varies with the temp of the water and the temp of the melt. I know it varies with the tester and the test equipment. Gianni.

Very hot cast and water dropped ww's test in the high 20's after 3 weeks with an LBT hardness tester.

I've run some tests on various bullet alloys regarding hardness vs time. By the end of two weeks, most of the hardness "arrives". There will be some minor changes, but for the most part, the work is done.

After 2 weeks, dropping frosty hot ww into 5gal water (8lb lead/5gal water) I get a BHN of 31. Still looking for a deeper 10gal bucket.
