Here are pictures of my new Lee mold and its CB's. I dehorned the sprue plate, which I think you can see in the photos. I also installed a set screw, so now clearance between the sprue plate and the mold blocks can be controlled. I cast right at 100 bullets, and there are no drag marks on the mold or the sprue plate.
I cast using WW's + 2% tin at 765*F. CB's drop from the mold with the lightest of taps on the mold handles. I did not smoke the mold, and considering how easy it was to extract the CB's, I doubt I will.
I could not ask for a better as cast weight, or diameter. The CB picked up 3grs of weight after installing the GC, and I figure another 2grs to 4grs will be added with the lube. I hope this CB shoots as well as it looks.
