either I'm mentally challenged in finding this data or there's just not much out there, Hoping that some of you can help.
I'm looking for loads to push a 200gr. GC along at 1600 to 2000fps. The powders I have on hand are 700x,800x,red dot, green dot, blue dot, herco, unique, steel, imr 7828, imr 4831, 2000mr, and varget.
Thanks for any input you may have,
Greg

Can't help you with the powders you have but 29 gr of 5744 ought to put you at about 1900 fps or a 95% load of Trail Boss (so you can just barely hear the powder move when you shake a loaded cartridge) should put you at about 1550 fps.

Compare .308, and .358 Win. Loads. The .338 Fed falls right between them, and should give you a pretty good guideline.

shotsmen,
Setting check below neck, Yes I was looking at that when I ordered my mold. Unless my math and eye's are both off (heck I'm loosing my hair so who knows) I should be okay setting these Ranch Dog 200 right at the crimp groove, and with a light bit of crimp they should stay in place.
Fill me in here if I'm missing something.
I am beging to think 28-30 grains of Varget would get me in the 1800fps range, What do you all think?
